What is GoodBiome?
GoodBiome performs genetic analysis of the community of bacteria found in your stool sample using state-of-the-art third-generation DNA sequencing technology.
The GoodBiome precision nutrition recommendations synthesize all of this information with dietary guidelines specific to your gender, age and BMI to help develop a customised nutrition plan in consultation with a certified dietitian. -
Why should you test your gut biome?
The billions of bacteria that reside in our gut performs many functions including breaking down undigested carbohydrates, proteins and fats, synthesizing essential micronutrients, and training the immune system to distinguish between good and bad bacteria.
Understanding your gut biome can help you to gain insights about the gut bacteria that are beneficial to you and the ones that play a harmful role. Therefore understanding your gut better and nourishing it can help you with your health and wellbeing. -
What is the GoodBiome Test Kit?
The GoodBiome Test Kit allows you to seamlessly collect stool sample at the comfort of your home.
The test kit contains a collection tube along with accessories and an instructions guide to make collecting a sample easy, hygienic and efficient. -
How should stool samples be handled? Will participants be provided with guidance on collecting, temporary storage, and shipping materials?
A detailed guide on how to handle your stool sample will be provided to each participant. This guide includes instructions on the proper collection, temporary storage, and shipping of your sample to ensure it arrives in good condition for analysis.

Is screening done before or after ordering the stool kits?
Screening begins with the completion of an informed consent form during the registration process. Once your order is completed, we will share a food frequency and health questionnaire with you.

What is the age requirement to participate in the study, and is any parental consent required?
We recruit participants who are 21 years or older. As such, we do not enroll minors, and parental consent is not required.

How long will it take to receive my GoodBiome test kit?
Your GoodBiome Test Kit will be dispatched within 1 working days of receiving your order and it usually takes 2 - 3 days for the kit to reach your delivery address. Our delivery executive may also try to call you at your registered phone number to check a suitable delivery time.

How long does it take to get my results?
Once your stool sample has been picked by our executive, it would 4-5 weeks to analyse and prepare and deliver your report.

Are there any additional costs involved, such as logistics for sending stool samples or downloading the app?
There are no additional costs for the participants beyond the initial payment. All logistics for sending stool samples and any app downloads are included in the initial fee, with no extra expenses to you.

How will I receive a copy of my signed consent form for my records?
